- Trustland and TSSA Budget Review
- Trustland Reading Goal Update
Goal: K-6: The median progress for typical or above typical growth will be 55% or higher on the Mid-Year Acadience Pathways of Progress.
-
Mountainside’s median progress for typical or above typical growth was 68% on the Mid-Year Acadience Pathways of Progress.
- Propose options for goal(s) for 24-25 plan
- Factors to consider – Reading Paraprofessional costs $16,000 on avg. per year. Funding four reading paras would equal $64,000.
- Funding next year will be $73,374.57
-
- We may want to look at only writing a language arts goal for Trustlands plan due to the high cost of reading paraprofessionals.
- Our ELA curriculum will be new next year. Using assessments based on our current ELA curriculum may be difficult to collect data for next year.
- Technology needs include 4 teacher computers - $3,644, Chromebook Lab of 32 chromebooks - $9,376 hardware + $2,080 = $11,456
-
Paperwork for new TV’s was lost and then found again so we should be receiving them soon.
-
-
- Option 1: Reading Growth Goal: K-5 students at Mountainside’s average progress for typical or above typical growth will be 70% on the Mid-Year Acadience Pathways of Progress.
- Option 2: Reading Proficiency Goal: 2% of K-5 students at Mountainside will move from below proficient to at or above proficient on their beginning-of-year to mid-year Acadience composite score.
- Option 3: Comprehension 6th Grade – 2% of 6th grade students will move from below proficient to at or above proficient on their beginning-of-year to mid-year Acadience MAZE score.
- Option 1: Reading Growth Goal: K-5 students at Mountainside’s average progress for typical or above typical growth will be 70% on the Mid-Year Acadience Pathways of Progress.
-

Most in attendance liked Option 1 and will possibly add on Option 3 as well. Mr. Amott will look into available Grants to fund Math Paraprofessionals. Those in attendance were concerned about no math goal. We are lacking in Math support next year. If we are unable to find grants to fund Math Paraprofessionals the teachers will work with groups of students. They might look into parent volunteers. Teachers see improvement when we do have Math Paraprofessionals.
