- Mountainside Elementary received a grant for our Math program and are hoping to hire 6 new math aids for this program and so if you know anyone who is looking for a position, get the word out for them.
- Trustland Math Goal: 1-6 Grades: The median progress for typical or above typical growth will be 64% or higher at the Mid-Year diagnostic on the iReady assessment. Report: The median progress for typical or above typical growth for 1 st -6 th grade was 58% on the Mid-Year diagnostic assessment.
- PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports)
- 3 Tiers of Support
- Tier 1 80%– Schoolwide – Positive reinforcement with tickets and prizes.
- Tickets are given out daily and then collected once a week on Wednesday.
- The teachers keep track of how many tickets each student has gotten along with who received a reward. This way it gives a chance for each kid to be chosen for a shoutout.
- The entire class is given a reward if they are all working together to follow the rules in the ‘Specials’ classes. They are then rated and given rewards based on their scores.
- Teaching and Reteaching expectations schoolwide. Three-strike system, restorative practices
- Tier 2 10%-15% – Check-in/Check-out, Student Behavior Tracker, Rewards,
- High-risk students on Well-Being Scale
- This is kept track of on a paper that the teacher and student use daily. Each day they are rewarded each day for good behavior.
- Tier 3 5%-10% – Teacher team to discuss how to best help individual students.
- Involve district behavior specialists.
- Tier 1 80%– Schoolwide – Positive reinforcement with tickets and prizes.
- 3 Tiers of Support
- District Calendar for 2025-2026
- The academic calendar is being reviewed and possibly changed again and hopefully will be voted and decided on January 16th for the final calendar.
- Safe Routes:
- Mr. Ammot met with Amy Garbe about the 125 N. and 100 E. intersection. Most kids are only crossing at 100 N. instead of the intended crosswalk. Mr. Ammot is going to collect some data of where the kids naturally cross and hopefully put a new cross walk in where kids will most likely use the crosswalk.
